venturethree is a global branding agency, based in London, which works with high profile clients around the world, including Sky, Little Chef, The Times and Manchester United.
venturethree is constantly developing creative content for its clients. This involves handling large files such as videos, audio and images, which are regularly circulated around the business and to and from clients. These files need to be shared quickly and efficiently, yet sending them via email can have a big impact on the capacity of the network. For this reason, venturethree hosts its own File Transfer Protocol (FTP) site, but also requires a high bandwidth internet connection so that files can be uploaded quickly without causing capacity issues.

venturethree has been an Easynet Connect customer since 2002. Having been impressed by Easynet’s SDSL and Etherstream products in the past, the company decided to upgrade to an Easynet 50MB fibre service. Tom Welch, Technology Manager at venturethree, comments: “The sheer number of large files we deal with means we need a network that won’t crash whenever an image or video is being uploaded or sent across it. When we decided to upgrade our network we looked at a number of different providers, but found that, as an existing Easynet Connect customer, upgrading to a fibre connection would give us the bandwidth we needed with only a relatively small increase in the monthly cost of our connection. Choosing to work with them on the upgrade was therefore easy and extremely cost-effective.”
venturethree also decided to continue working with Easynet Connect due to the excellent levels of service they had received in the past. Welch notes: “Easynet’s fully-managed service was a key benefit for us, as we know that we can speak to one of their engineers at any hour, night or day, should an issue occur.”
As an existing Easynet Connect customer, the implementation was simple and only took a few weeks of preparation before a simple flick of a switch to get the new network in place. Welch continues: “It was incredible how straightforward the switchover was. Not only did we have the new network up and running in a matter of weeks, but the whole changeover was completed with zero downtime.”
